In the commercial “Mobile Office,” the Chevy “host” for its “Real People” ads takes actual small-business owners to a mountain top and asks if they’d like to take the Silverado — equipped with 4G-LTE WiFi and seven nodes–and conduct business using it, or a Ford F-150. The catch is that in order to match the connectivity capabilities of the robustly equipped Silverado, the F-150 must bring along a small trailer equipped with a satellite dish, a WiFi modem, a fax machine–and a secretary named Dolores.
“Yes, Dolores is an actor,” Piszar conceded. “But that’s really her name.”
